Gary and the sales team members of the San Mateo County-Silicon Valley Convention & VIsitors Bureau gather after their TFW training workshop, which drew 40 hotel partners. The exciting, interactive day included a straight-talk Q & A interchange between the hoteliers and a 5-member meeting/event planner panel of experts. The event was held at the San Mateo Expo Center. The SMC-SVCVB has engaged Gary for 6 of his very successful Sales Education Programs over the years.

Mary Zucchero, then VP of Sales & Services for the Ypsilanti Area CVB (VisitYpsi) welcomed Gary to Michigan for the first of his two customized sales education programs for her CVB sales team and Washtenaw County area hospitality partners. The November event was themed for the season: "Harvesting New Ideas To Kick Up Your Sales Game," and was attended by more than 30 people from the hospitality communities in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor.

The team of the Vermont Convention Bureau welcomes its two speakers for a recent VCB Annual Meeting --  Michael Dominguez , CHSE, Sr. VP and Chief Sales Officer of MGM Resorts Intl., and Gary. The conference was held at the Jay Peaks Resort in Jay, VT, and drew almost 100 hoteliers from all across the state . Left to right: Pam McGarry (VCB), Maureen Morgan (VCB), Dominguez, Hernbroth, Susan Smith (VCB Executive Director), and Meg Hood (VCB).

A number of managers and supervisors within the City of Fort Worth's Planning & Development join Gary and Director Randle Harwood (Back row, far right), at one of his workshops. Gary's multi-year program has helped this department decrease its response times and increase its customer service levels. They don't embrace the typical "city hall" reputation so prevelent in other places. Instead, they embrace new ideas such as Gary's "Alliance Partners" concept and make commitments to providing quality, timely, and accurate services to their customers/residents and each other.

"Work hard, play hard!"

Lee County (Fort Myers-Sanibel) CVB engaged Gary for a 2-day sales training retreat recently at the Westin Cape Coral Resort. The curriculum encompassed the study of differing personality styles, working their sales funnels, prospecting, questioning, and developing their "bucket lists" for their hotel partners, clients, and themselves. Here, they show off their handiwork.

Leeann Guzman of the City of Fort Worth Attorneys Division welcomes Gary to Meacham Airport's conference facility for his workshop on "Kicking Up Our Communications Game" for the 35 city attorneys. At right, they craft their own paper airplanes for an ice-breaker excercise invoving "two truths, one lie."

Gary designed and provided a series of sales training workshops and coaching sessions over three years as the "strength and conditioning coach" for the talented sales team of the Greater Birmingham (AL) CVB. Steve Pierson (Director of Convention Sales, far right) holds the coveted "Be the Lobster" Award that is earned for above and beyond work during the workshops.

Gary returned to the 5-Diamond Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs for a 3rd round of sales training workshops. Here, the sales team gathers with Gary to show the hats they fashioned out of pipe cleaners that they made to represent their sales personalities. "Hats off" to a creative sales team!

Gary led 5 annual Visit Tri-Valley CVB Board of Directors strategic planning retreats over the years, this one at the Mitchell-Katz Winery in Pleasanton, CA. We are duty-bound to report that those wine barrels remained untapped during the work session!

Presenting to the Diablo Valley Women in Business group at the gorgeous Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore, CA, in conjunction with National Golf Week for Women, Gary compared strategies on the golf course with strategies for business and life. His program also addressed the do’s and don’ts when using golf as client entertaining and strengthening business relationships.

Gary dressed the Boyne USA Resorts sales team in hunter's camouflage outfits to reinforce the "hunting for business" theme on their sales training retreat held at the beautiful Boyne Mountain Resort (Michigan).

Shown here among the picturesque Colorado pines are members of the Keystone, Beaver Creek, Vail, and Breckenridge sales teams who met for a TFW sales retreat at the Keystone Resort on various sales and presentation skills, part of a program with Vail Resorts over the span of 2 years.

One of Gary's training installations at the beautiful Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA included a little team-building and friendly golfing competition on the course after a day's work. The sales and conference services teams squared off in a 9-hole challenge.

The Walnut Creek Marriott took their TFW sales workshop to Campo Di Bocce in Livermore (CA) for some post-learning bocce fun. The facility is co-owned by NFL Hall of Fame and Super Bowl-winning Coach John Madden, and is the site for his annual ESPN televised celebrity bocce ball tournament on this very court.

Gary's training workshops foster friendly competition, both in the "classroom" and outside. Taking advantage of a fantastic setting in Squaw Valley (CA) near Lake Tahoe, the sales team members of the Resort at Squaw Creek paired off for a Baggo (bean bag toss game) tournament on the deck of the hotel's meeting space.

The beautiful Links at Spanish Bay (Pebble Beach, CA) in the background provided an eye-popping setting for a training workshop for the sales team of the Pebble Beach Resorts.

Gary and members of the Greater Lansing CVB gather in the infield of Cooley Law Stadium, home of the Lansing Lugnuts, where the TFW sales training workshop was held. Over 40 hoteliers attended the event to sharpen their sales skills and learn how to "knock it out of the park" with more customers.
